2012 REGISTRATION IN PROGRESS
Cartersville School of Ballet Open Registration for 2012 is in Progress for ages 3 through adult. Classes available include Classical Ballet, Pointe, Jazz, and Tap. Plus a new Fitness Dance Class for adults. Established in 1972 the Cartersville School of Ballet is known for its “Tradition of Excellence in Dance Training” in all styles of dance for the beginning to the advanced dancer. The studio is located on the square in historic downtown Cartersville. Call 770-386-4779 for class times and days.
Exciting New Fitness Dance Class for Adults
Beginning Monday, January 9th from 8:00pm – 9:00pm
Fitness Dance for Adults: This class offers an opportunity to stretch, strengthen and get in some cardio all through dance. Get in a workout without the boredom of the gym! Keep your muscles moving during the second half of the class, which will be devoted to a different Broadway musical each class where participants can learn a dance set to music from the show. No previous dance experience required.

Experience a Great Holiday Tradition!
Kick off the holiday season. Come and see the holiday classic the “NUTCRACKER” danced by the Cartersville City Ballet at the Grand Theatre in historic downtown Cartersville. Whether the Nutcracker is already a part of your holiday tradition or you are a first time audience member you will be delighted with many new beautiful costumes and new choreography. Over 80 of Cartersville and Bartow County’s most talented performers will be performing in this year’s production. Cartersville City Ballet dancers Ashley Edwards and Cathryn Farmer will share the role of Clara. The Nutcracker Prince will be danced by Tyler Bucher and Weston Melton. Dr. Allen Weirick is back performing the role of Herr Drosselmeyer, Clara’s mysterious uncle. Cartersville City Ballet dancers are busily preparing for this upcoming production of the Nutcracker – which has become a holiday tradition for many in the Cartersville community. Performances will be held on Friday, December 2nd at 7:30pm and Saturday, December 3rd at 2:00pm and 7:30pm.
