Exciting New Fitness Dance Class for Adults
Beginning Monday, January 9th from 8:00pm – 9:00pm

Fitness Dance for Adults: This class offers an opportunity to stretch, strengthen and get in some cardio all through dance. Get in a workout without the boredom of the gym! Keep your muscles moving during the second half of the class, which will be devoted to a different Broadway musical each class where participants can learn a dance set to music from the show. No previous dance experience required.

Photo Credit: Keiko Guest PhotographyPre-Ballet/Creative Movement (3 to 6 years old) This class is designed to introduce the world of dance through various movement activities, beginning ballet positions and steps. Children learn to use their bodies and imaginations. This class includes warm-up exercises, partner and group dances, and development of musical skills. (back to top)

Classical Ballet (7and up) Ballet is a beautiful art form which requires dedication and discipline on the part of the student. Ballet training is an excellent form of exercise for all ages, toning and strengthening the entire body, and helping to increase flexibility, coordination, and proper posture. (back to top)

Pointe (11 and up) Pointe work is an extension of classical ballet which begins at age 11 for the serious student with previous training. Two ballet classes a week are required in addition to the pointe class. (back to top)

Jazz (7 and up) Jazz is an excellent complement to ballet training. This expressive style of dance opens up many new possibilities for movement to the dance student. Originating in the jazz age of the 1920's, jazz dance blends current musical and dance trends with performance dance that is seen on television and the Broadway stage. (back to top)

Tap (7 and up) A truly American form of dance which allows the dancer's body to be used as a rhythm instrument through intricate footwork, syncopated sounds, and stylized movement. (back to top)

Ballet / Tap Combination Class (3 to 6 years of age) A creative movement class that introduces the world of dance through various movement activities, beginning ballet positions and steps as well as beginning basic tap steps.

Mommie and Me (2yr olds and caregiver) This class is designed to introduce the world of dance through various movement activities. Working together, the children and caregivers learn to use their bodies and imaginations. This class includes warm-up exercises, partner and group dances, and the development of coordination and musical skills.

Broadway Theatre DanceThis class covers all the bases. Students will learn a wide range of movement possibilities for all types of plays and musicals. The curriculum includes a jazz warm-up.

Home School Program Available

Dress Code The dress code requires each student to wear a leotard, tights, and shoes appropriate for the class being taken. The leotard color is determined by heir class placement. The hair must be worn in a bun for all ballet classes. Hair should e pulled away from the face and off the neck for jazz, tap, Hip/Hop Jazz Funkand modern classes.
